Christmas Coffee Morning
Bring & Buy Sale

Christmas Draw (1st Prize £100, 2nd £50, 3rd £25 plus others)
on Saturday, 10 December, 10am-12 noon

Christmas Coffee Morning This will be the last event to raise money for St Mary’s Church funds in 2011. Please write the date in your diary – come and meet your friends for a pre-Christmas coffee and chat. The Draw will take place at 12 o’clock; tickets will be on sale from early October – please try to sell some tickets for us.

Please also help by providing items for the Bring & Buy stall – including cakes and produce but no jumble please – and for the Bottle Stall. Items can be left with Eric Graham in the Community Centre from Monday, 5 December.

Charity of the Month 1:
The Children’s Society

The Children’s Society The Children’s Society is a leading charity committed to making childhood better for all Children in the UK. Action is taken to protect, rescue and support Children facing life trapped in a vicious circle of fear and harm, a circle driven by violence, neglect, poverty and discrimination which destroys childhood and wrecks community living. Children are given the hope and confidence they need to face the future with optimism. None are turned away. The work of the Society depends on generous donations from the Public, Supporters and Volunteers. Can you help with a donation? Charity of the Month 2: CRISIS

Crisis CRISIS is the national charity for single homeless people. They are dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change. Their innovative education, employment, housing and well-being services address individual needs and help homeless people to transform their lives. Success is measured by tangible results and value for money.

As determined campaigners CRISIS work to prevent people from becoming homeless and advocate solutions informed by research and their direct experience. CRISIS have ambitious plans for the future and are committed to helping more people in more places across UK. Homelessness will not end overnight or by itself, but in taking a lead and collaborating with others, then change may happen. You can help with the work of CRISIS by a donation into the box on the south wall, which will be gratefully received. Further information is available in church. Previous Charity Fundraising

Monies collected from the box for the October charity, ABF –The Soldier’s Charity, amounted to £31.05 to which the PCC will add further amounts which will bring the total to about £246.

Fairford Churches Together will be holding their annual Christmas Soup Lunch on
Soup Lunch FRIDAY 2nd December  in Fairford Community Centre 12pm—1.30pm

All monies raised will be for charity. We look forward to seeing you.

Our Christmas Lunch will be again at The Bull Hotel on Wednesday, 7th December. Time 12.30 p.m. for 1 p.m. Lunch. Husbands are invited to this lunch. Please give your name(s) to any committee member if you wish to share in this annual event. See you all there!
