Charity of the Month:
The Mission to Seafarers

Caring for seafarers around the world

The Mission celebrates its work by encouraging churches across the UK to come together on Sea Sunday during July to remember the brave and dedicated seafarers who we rely upon to keep our global economy afloat and to celebrate the work of seafarers.  The Mission supports seafarers in 261 ports in 71 countries around the world through its network of chaplains and volunteers who offer a warm Christian welcome, practical and financial support, advocacy services, access to legal advice and family liaison. The work of a seafarer is one of the most difficult, dangerous and challenging jobs in the world today.- it can be rough, lonely and hazardous.

More information can be found in the leaflets in the church during July or obtained direct from The Mission to Seafarers, St Michael Paternoster Royal, College Hill, London EC4R 2RL Tel. 020 7248 5202

Messy Church BBQ

Messy Church

We meet on the second Sunday
of every month.

There will be a Messy Church on:
Sunday 10 July

In the Vicarage Garden, The Croft, Fairford. 4pm-6pm

Crafts, Games, Celebration, Cooked Meal
FOR FAMILIES.

At Messy Church this month we are hoping to spend the afternoon in the Vicarage Garden with games and activities on the theme Team Jesus.

After the games and activities there will be a Celebration and then a cooked meal (probably a BBQ) finishing about 6pm as usual. If the day turns out to be too wet we shall meet upstairs in the Community Centre.

No need to book but it will help us with catering if you can let us know that you are coming. If not - just turn up on the day.

The Healing and Prayer Ministry

We are planning a retreat to a Marist convent in Nympsfield, a delightful Cotswold village between Tetbury and Stroud. We have been returning here for several years, as the accommodation and facilities are so good, and it is very near to us. We leave Fairford between 4:00-5:00 on Friday 28th October and return after lunch on Sunday 30th October. We all have our own rooms; and the cost of all this with excellent home cooking is £100 for the weekend. This year we will be led by one of the sisters.

If you are interested or would like to know more, please contact 01285 711386.
