Charity of the Month:
St Luke’s Healthcare for the Clergy

St Luke’s Healthcare for the Clergy

What St Luke’s does

  • Healthcare support for clergy and families
  • Wellbeing training for clergy
  • Advocacy and collaboration

Healthcare support for clergy and families

  • St Luke’s can help clergy and their family members when they are experiencing ill health
  • We know that poor physical or mental health makes it harder to have a flourishing ministry. When a family member is struggling with health problems, this inevitably brings stress to the clergy household
  • We help hundreds of clergy every year, which positively impacts many more people – clergy families, the parish and local community

Advocacy and collaboration

  • St Luke’s plays a leading role in bringing together other organisations and denominational representatives working with clergy wellbeing

For more information, contact us 020 7898 1700, Room 201, Church House, Great Smith Street, London, SW1P 3AZ.

Fairford’s Christmas Story

Fairford’s Christmas Story

6.30pm on Friday 13th December
Fairford Market Place

St Mary’s Church and the Fairford Town Council are coming together to put on a special new event. Fairford’s Christmas Story is an open-air nativity play.

The planning group are absolutely buzzing with ideas and enthusiasm. Volunteers are needed — both for the performance itself as actors, technical crew and stagehands, but also as stewards and marshals to look after the organisation of the Marketplace. Are you interested? Know someone might be? Send an email to fairfordschristmasstory@gmail.com to learn more.

Messy Church

Messy Church

We meet on the second Sunday
of every month EXCEPT AUGUST.

Sunday 17th November
In St Mary's Church. 4pm-6pm
Crafts, Games, Celebration, Cooked Meal
FOR FAMILIES.

The theme is 'Love life live Advent'. The crafts and games will help us prepare for the arrival of Jesus as a small baby – at Christmas. We need lots of cardboard tubes from toilet rolls and largish jam jars – please save these for us!

Our craft session will be followed by a Celebration and then a cooked meal in the Community Centre, finishing about 6pm as usual.

Please let us know of any dietary requirements for the meal, otherwise just turn up on the day.

Making grass seed caterpillars for our Harvest Celebration proved very messy in October, but we also enjoyed making apple hedgehogs and cross stitch leaf patterns.
