Charity of the Month:
Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association – Forces Help (SSAFA)

Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association

This national charity provides practical help and assistance to 50,000 members of the Armed Forces Community, this includes families and veterans, every year. The support is wide-ranging - ensuring a WW2 veteran stays warm throughout the winter to providing short breaks for military children with additional needs and disabilities. In addition the charity run support groups, Forcesline – a confidential support service, Norton Homes - where families of injured or sick serving personnel can stay near to their loved ones, an adoption agency and much more. SSAFA Forces Help runs on a local basis so money raised goes towards helping people in the local community. Last year SSAFA Forces helped supported 94 veterans. With your help this service can continue.

There is literature on the top self along the south wall and gift aid envelopes opposite if you can use them. Please help this worthwhile charity with a donation.

For further information write to SSAFA – Forces Help, Custom House, 31 Commericial Road, GLOUCESTER GL1 2HE. Tel: 01452 520255.
