As part of the wider Deanery work, teenagers from the Fairford area play an active part in
a weekly bible study (Thirst on a Wed eve) held at nearby Quenington. In addition there is an
annual residential along with regular activity days offering the opportunity
for faith, fun and friendship! St Mary’s, Fairford also plays host to the
monthly Youth Service (4th Sunday evening) several times a year and our Deanery Youth Worker
is actively involved in the local secondary school, Farmor’s.
Viney Hill
Fairford Deanery Youth Worker
Chris Saunders, Fairford Deanery Youth Worker, has served as a full-time youth worker for over 15 years
in far-flung settings such as Aberystwyth, Walsall and Ukraine. When he’s not looking for ways to include
his toddler son in his sermon illustrations he enjoys watching (successful) Welsh rugby!
If you would like to volunteer to help in any way (from prayer support to making cushions or helping
with a group) or would like to find out more, please do get in touch with Chris by email
or telephone 07918 732040.

Treasure Hunt July 2010
We have 'specials' at various times of the year, including attending Christian festivals
like New Wine 2010 with a chance to receive good teaching, make new friends and serve on teams.
For those who feel a call to overseas service there is also an annual Diocesan mission link with India
along with more local charities we support. We get together with other local youth groups regularly
and have a committed bunch who pray for our young people and students away at universities.
